Ampco manufactured the panels used to wrap the three new C-Class ferries which will be entering service soon. December 7, 2007 - CKNW Orphans' Fund 
Dann Konkin, president of Ampco Manufacturers Inc. made his annual appearance at the CKNW Orphans' Fund Pledge Day on the morning of December 7th to present a donation from Ampco employees to the CKNW Orphan's Fund. Ampco matches donations made by our employees and due to their generosity, this year’s donation totals a record $11,350. This money will be used to support the needs of B.C.'s challenged and underprivileged children. Ampco has been a regular at this event long before some of our employees were born. Ampco Manufacturers Inc. is proud to be the Coquitlam company mentioned on the CTV evening news on September 21, 2007, having manufactured the graphic panels for each of the three new C-Class BC Ferries. From the CTV Broadcast: Mike Killeen (CTV reporter): "The new ferry features massive decals promoting BC, the 2010 Olympics and Paralympic Games. A Coquitlam company partnered with 3M Canada and printed the huge images." Dann Konkin (Ampco President): "Our company has taken the 3M material and digitally printed the material into 992 panels, equating to 40,500 square feet of material that was applied to this vessel." Ampco was the official supplier of graphics and banners to the 2007 MasterCard Memorial Cup. This event was memorable in more ways than one. Our own Vancouver Giants hockey team was victorious as the Gold medal Champions of the tournament while at the same time, the Ampco team pulled off yet another highly successful "Banner and Graphics" contract, without a hitch.
